Senior NetSuite Consultant (Functional)

The Role

As a Senior NetSuite Consultant, you will own the functional success of NetSuite engagements end to end — from discovery and business-process design through configuration, testing, go-live, and post-implementation optimization. You will be the person clients rely on to translate complex business requirements into scalable NetSuite solutions and to advise their leadership with authority. This is a senior, client-facing role for someone who has already led full-cycle implementations and can operate with minimal oversight. This is not an entry-level or administrator-only position.

What You'll Do

• Lead full-cycle NetSuite ERP implementations across discovery, requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, training, cutover, and go-live.
• Run business-process mapping and requirements workshops with client stakeholders, and translate the output into clear functional design and scoping documents.
• Design and configure NetSuite to fit unique business, industry, and regulatory requirements — including workflows, saved searches, dashboards, approvals, custom forms, roles, and permissions.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to client leadership (CFOs, controllers, operations leaders), guiding decisions with NetSuite leading practices and pragmatic judgment.
• Partner with technical consultants and developers to define requirements for customizations and integrations, and review proposed solutions for scalability and maintainability.
• Own data-migration and validation workstreams from a functional standpoint, including field mapping, cutover planning, and reconciliation.
• Lead UAT, drive user adoption, and provide post-go-live optimization.
• Mentor consultants, contribute to delivery methodology, and support pursuit/scoping efforts.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on NetSuite experience, leading multiple full-cycle NetSuite ERP implementations end to end.
• Deep functional command of core NetSuite processes — such as Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash, and Procure-to-Pay — and the underlying financials.
• Demonstrated ability to run requirements-gathering and business-process design sessions independently and to produce professional functional design documentation.
• Strong consulting presence: able to advise and hold credibility with senior client stakeholders.
• Working understanding of the NetSuite platform's customization and integration capabilities (SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, SuiteTalk) sufficient to partner effectively with technical teams — hands-on coding is not required for this role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to translate between business and technical audiences.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States or Canada; this role is open to candidates based in either country.

Preferred Qualifications

• NetSuite certifications: NetSuite Certified ERP Consultant, SuiteFoundation, and/or NetSuite Certified Administrator.
• Additional module depth (e.g., Advanced Revenue Management/ASC 606, OneWorld multi-subsidiary, Fixed Assets, Manufacturing, Inventory/WMS).
• Accounting/finance background (CPA a plus) or prior industry experience relevant to mid-market clients.
• Prior experience at a NetSuite Solution Provider, Alliance Partner, or a Big Four / national consulting firm.
